Colby Davis designs are 100% made in the United States with the highest quality craftsmanship of .925 sterling silver. We design, curate and individually fire each glass enamel pendant in our home state of Massachusetts to capture the beauty in each piece. To ensure your Colby Davis jewelry keeps its shine for years, we recommend you follow these instructions for the sterling silver, glass enamel, 18K and gold vermeil finishes.

WEAR YOUR COLBY DAVIS JEWELRY

Like any silver piece, when sterling silver jewelry remains un-worn for long periods of time, it is more prone to tarnishing. The best way to ensure your pieces stay new is to simply wear them as our skin produces natural oils that keep our jewelry looking new.

When not wearing your jewelry, please keep the designs in our Colby Davis pouch that you received upon purchase.

STERLING SILVER & GOLD

When fine sterling silver, 18K and gold vermeil finishes are exposed to the presence of air pollutants or salt water, a natural tarnishing reaction occurs and the jewelry can lose its luster. We recommend routinely removing any tarnish by wiping your sterling silver jewelry with a clean polishing cloth.

Colby Davis Care Tips:

  • Using a soft cloth, or soft-bristle toothbrush, remove heavy tarnish by rubbing the jewelry with mild bar soap in warm water.

  • DO NOT USE any silver polishing solution as this may react with the sterling silver or gold.

  • After cleaning, dry the jewelry with a clean cotton cloth.

GLASS ENAMEL

Glass enamel is a strong and beautiful enamel but can scratch without proper care.

Colby Davis Care Tips:

  • Protect the fine finish by avoiding direct contact against hard surfaces that can scratch or chip the glass and store your piece in our Colby Davis pouch when not in use.

  • Using a soft cloth, or soft-bristle toothbrush, remove heavy tarnish by rubbing the jewelry with mild bar soap in warm water.

  • Wipe off fingerprints with a clean polishing cloth or gentle cotton cloth.
